1KLM Toowoon Bay Open Water Time Trials

Service Description

1 x swim registration for the 1KM distance. The 1klm swim is two laps of Toowoon Bay starting at the south end, swimming north to the other end of the beach before returning to the south end. All swims are done within the bay itself, not around the headlands. Minimum age is 12 years old. You must be in good overall health, as well as a competent and confident ocean swimmer to participate in these swims. If you are unsure of your abilities, please contact our coaching staff for a swim assessment. All participants must complete an offical waiver which can be done onsite. Elite Salt Academy caps must be worn during the swims. These can be purchased on the day, or pre-ordered via our online store. Please arrive at least 30minutes prior to your swim to ensure you can check in with the head coach and partake in the compulsory safety talk. Elite Salt Academy's monthly time trial swims across the bay provide a great opportunity for you to test yourself, track your progress or have a bit of fun with your mates! There are three options including a 500m, 1km & 2km. All swims are timed and supervised by our Elite Salt Academy coaching staff. Registrations are essential. All swims are dependant on conditions. We aim to ensure the safety and comfort of all swimmers and will not run in conditions that are deemed inappropriate by our head coach. Board safety will be present at all swims. Our coaches are highly experienced and qualified via our Australian coaching and rescue governing bodies.
